Changes

It feels like forever since I've been on here. So much changes in just a couple months when you have a little one. Our Koli bean is now walking all over the place. Getting into everything and loving it. Her favorite thing to do right now is to pull out all the cans of beans in the cabinent and stacking them one on top of the other. She's getting pretty good at it now there are cans stacked all over the place. That and getting into all my nail polish. Nog laughs and says "isn't it funny how we just don't clean it up anymore because we know the next time she's in here she's going to get it right back out again?" (so true)
We all know how this girl will NEVER and I mean never turn down food no matter how weird or gross it may be shes just happy to be eating something, well that's starting to change. We bought this huge tub of animal crackers from Costco and at first she loved them. They are almost more than half way gone and now she's decided she's over them. Yesterday when we were eating some beans I gave her a taste then I gave her a cracker right after. She chucks the cracker out of her hand as happy as can be and opens her mouth huge for another bite of beans. Haha it was awesome.
For a few months now (since Koli's been crawling) we've taught her not to go by GG's potty and when she would, we would slap her hand and move her away. She would test us alright, making sure we would be consistant, so we had to be. I don't tell her "no" because I don't want her telling me "no" later on so I just shake my head and say uh uh Koli, what are you doing? She knows exactly what I'm talking about now and turns right back around moving away from the potty. GG says when I'm not in the room she walks over to the potty and quickly looks back at the door waiting for me to walk in to move her away. GG will say uh ow Koli and so I know that when I hear that I come running in and as soon as she sees me she quickly moves away pretending she wasn't dong anything. Haha she's so smart that little stinker. Well yesterday GG told me she was walking up to the potty and right as she gets close, before GG can say anything, she looks at it, looks back at GG and shakes her head saying uh uh and walks away. When she told me I was laughing pretty hard and was SO proud. Who would have thunk a 1 year old could catch on that quick? Haha I love her.
Lately I have been doing updos like none other, for weddings mostly. It's been so fun traveling to super fancy hotels to do them and meeting so many fun girls. I feel like a pro now I've had so much practice. It's been so fun for me to help people out and feeling good about themselves, feeling good about what I did, and for a bonus making some cash along the way to help out. Between hair, sign language, and being a mommy, I'm living a good life.
Nog is not so much loving my love for sign language. Well, he does but thinks I can take it a little over board.
For example, the other day we were driving in the car (he hates when I sign to him in the car because you know, he's driving and he needs to watch the road, but I do it anyway.) While we were driving, headed out to eat for our date night, I was signing again. He takes one look at me, looks back at the road and says, "No, when we get there we are not going to pretend we're deaf and sign the whole time" I bust out laughing, how did he know I was going to say that? Haha he's pretty good at putting up with my obsession most of the time. Is it weird that I like signing and pretending I'm deaf and having people stare at me? And maybe secretly hoping to have a deaf child?? Haha ya proabably.
Koli is getting good at it, understanding so many signs now. She's even signing back to me. She signs more (by clapping) and just the past couple days ago signs back milk, and juice. So fun.
Nog and I (mostly Nog, let's be honest) have been working our booty's off transforming the storage room into an office for his accounting work. Knocking down walls to put in a door, knocking down shelves, dry wall, the whole thing. It's been a lot of work and has taken 3 times as long as we thought (which doesn't every project?) Since we have no more "storage room" we've been trying to be very creative where we store things. Now Big Red (my mannequin) is standing in our room creeping us out every time we see her but for now, that's where she will remain until we can find a new place to hide her. While the Office was being built the Arizona Room was a disaster. We finally got it all put back together and Koli and I love it. We live in that room.
Our next project it making our laundry room into a Salon. Yep, that's right, a Salon! I'm really really excited about this one. We were thinking of building on for a salon but we simply can't afford that so we are going to be creative and put our washer and dryer out side to make room. Ya I know it will get dirty and may be really annoying going out side to do laundry but you do what you gotta do right? And since I got a plumber for a husband he can do just that. I'm excited to not have hair in my kitchen all the time. Plus we won't have to move the salon chair in and out everyday. Oh just so many pluses I can't wait! We are hoping that will be done in a couple of weeks. I will have pictures then. :) Nogs office is pretty much done now but papers and books are all over the place waiting to be organized so those pictures will be soon to come as well.
Oh I have to share this picture because I was hilarious. Ree and I went shopping the other day since Trent and the kids went on a ward camp out and her and Asher stayed home. So since that never happens we had to take advantage. Koli stayed home with Nog because he was sad when I told him I was going to take her, so he got to watch her. It was just Ree, Asher, and me. Asher boy was feeling sick (poor kid can't catch a break) so Ree brought his stroller and we took my car. He got to ride like a big boy since Koli got a car seat facing forward and he rode in that. He was pretty pleased and then he found her dolls baby bottle and was even happier about that. When I took him out of the car he wouldn't let go of the baby's bottle. It was so cute I just let him have it. Ree on the other hand was wondering why the heck I didn't take it from him, after all he is a BOY. So I put him in the stroller and he sat there so sad and sick not wanting to go shopping but with his pink baby bottle he seemed a little more content, so how could we take it away? Ree said "poor guy he should have a car in his hand not a pink baby bottle." But since we was sick she let him keep it. hahah he's so dang cute I can't stand it. I love that boy. Later on we went back to our house Asher cheered right up, plus him and Koli got to play. Nog's was pretty sure he was only sad because he's a boy and hates shopping just as much as he does.
Here's some pictures of our bean and things going on lately.
First off of course is Kollins on her First Birthday. It was more of a birthday week. We celebrated it with my family the Sunday before. She had her very own cupcake she thought it was delicious and enjoyed every bite as you can tell. I made her a Happy Birthday Koli banner and a DVD of her first year. When she's a little older I think she'll love watching it. I'm going to update it every year as you she gets older. I made one with just pictures and one of just videos. On Thursday (her actual birthday) we went and got ice cream and gave her a baby doll. She calls her "doll." :) The Sunday after, we had diner with the Pearce side. It was a great week. Still can't believe I have a 1 year old! She is seriously so dang cute!
Here she is about to get her ice cream.

Stacking the cans on top of each other. :)

Her new thing when we go grocery shopping is turning herself around in the cart, don't know how she does it. This way she can get a better look around her.
Koli and Asher playing the piano together. :)
Ha here's Asher and his pink bottle.
