Christmas tree, Crunchers, and monkeys

Any time we put Koli in her car seat, swing, buzz chair or anywhere, including the ground she does crunches. Its so funny, this girl just wants to move around. She's rolling over now and it's the best but when she gets on her stomach though she gets mad because there is nowhere to go from there, so we turn her back over and she rolls right back over on her belly.
She is loving this Christmas tree, Nog will put her in this little chair while he's getting things done and she will just sit and stare at the tree forever. This time she got super excited and was trying to get it haha I love it.

Leaning over, always wanting to get out but at least she's happy about it. :)

We got her these monkeys which have become part of the family. Nog named them George and Francis, fitting for monkeys I thought. She plays with them all the time and chews on their heads. So glad she loves George and Fran. :)

Blessing Day

The little bean, on her big day.
My Mom and sister, Heather, came down for this special day. This day was amazing, getting Koli dressed up all fancy in her beautiful little white dress. My sisters Janee and Tamra wore this dress when they got blessed and so did their children. So all together 8 lovely ladies wore this exact dress on there blessing day. (including Koli) Which is why I'm so glad that she got to wear it too. There is so much meaning behind it and I loved it.
Right when Sacrament meeting started I was getting so nervous. Kinda funny, I don't really know why maybe because I was so dang excited and nervous for Logan and just really dang excited! There were 3 babies that were blessed today, and she was second in line. Through out the first baby blessing Koli started crying and I was thinking, No no no please don't cry through this... Then it was her turn and I was getting even more nervous. Logan walked up with her and she became so calm. He gave the blessing and it was so incredible I seriously have one amazing daughter. I am so grateful my husband has the authority to give her that blessing. I can't believe I was given this girl she is amazing. Trent my brother in law told me that the entire time he was giving the blessing she stared right up at him until he was done. It was such a cool experience.
After Sacrament meeting all the family and some friends came over to our house for lunch. It was a perfect day for a baby blessing.

This is baby Brett we had to take a picture of both of them just in case they get married some day. How cool would that be to say "look, and here's a picture of you two on your blessing day". haha
Heather and Koli
I really love this girl I want her back in AZ!!
Mama and Koli
Love this picture of them

GG

For over a year now I have had the privilege of going over to my Grandmas house and giving her baths and getting to know her better than I ever had before. We have spent hours talking and talking about who knows what. Laughing at each other when I would spray water all over her myself and all over the bathroom because the hose had gotten away from me. Her telling me all about what she did that day which most of the time included going over to Walgreens and how they all know her so well there. When I was pregnant she would tell me each week how excited she was for me and how big my belly was getting, but that I wasn’t just getting fat but there was definitely a baby in there. Her telling me time again how we are getting oh so good at baths and how fast we are at them. Stories of the funny things Kaydence did and how she just plain loves that girl, even when she tells her just what to do, and especially when she tells her just what to do. When I was younger I remember leaving her house and each time I would shout “love you Grandma” her reply was always “see you later.” My family is very open and we tell each other “love you” just about every time we talk on the phone and see each other, but not always GG,
not until I started giving her Baths. One day I said it again as I was leaving and she said it back. Since then she has said it every time and sometimes she will even say it first. I can’t describe to you how much I LOVE this woman. There is something about serving a person that makes your love for them grow so strong. She is always thinking of others, she makes you feel so important.
On November 28th Nog and I went over to her house to help her put on a new toilet lid she had
gotten. We had both known this seat was coming for about a week now and we were really excited to open it up for her to use it. Haha look at us getting all excited about a toilet seat. Well Nog got it all ready for her, we said our goodbyes and then we were off. The next night I got a call for my Mom. Grandma had used her new toilet lid and while getting up she went for her chair but didn’t quite make it and slid to the ground. Only one side of her body works since her stroke 6 years ago so she tried as hard as she could to get up but her body would not allow her to. My
Grandma is diabetic so for 24 hours there she was on the ground trying her best to scoot herself into her bedroom to a phone. She only got so far till she could not move any longer. So she slept there on the ground, cold and coughing up blood from all the stress. My Uncle Keith found her a full 24 hours after this had happened. I was doing laundry when Mom called and told me this and I thought I might die. I was so afraid that the day before might be the last time
I would see her as herself. I hurried as fast as I could and went down to her house. When I turned the corner I saw the ambulance and my heart dropped. She was already in the ambulance and ready to be taken to the hospital. She looked so bloody and scratched up. There was nothing I could do and I felt horrible. What if I would have just stayed there a little longer after she used the new toilet and made sure everything was fine this wouldn’t have happened. And Grandma being Grandma says “Andi don’t cry I just fell and now they are taking care of me, I’m okay, don’t cry everything’s okay.” I followed her in the ambulance to the hospital and just hours after she
was already cracking jokes and being so positive. We came home that night sick, thinking of what she has been through hearing her phone ring and ring, wondering if anyone was going to come and find her. Her poor body with cuts and soars from pushing herself for hours trying to get help, no food or water for 24 hours, coughing up blood, freezing, sleeping on the wood floor. And there she was minimizing everything that she had just gone through saying, “This isn’t that bad, I’ve had worse.” Can you see why I LOVE this woman? And now I’m thinking how can I just let her go back into that lonely house all by herself? This could easily happen again and I could
not bare to think of it, something has to change. We thought a lot about it and made some calls. We knew without a doubt that we want her in our home. As I was saying my prayers I felt that she needs us and that we need her. We went to visit her the next day, we told her of all our plans and to please think about it. Later that day Laree and I went to visit again. Laree said “so GG what do you think of moving in with Annie and Nog?” She said “Yeah, I think that would be good.” I am So thrilled! And so folks I get to have GG in my home in hopes that she will soon call it her home too. I feel so blessed to have this home that I can share with her, this extra bedroom is calling her name. And best of all I get to be home so I can spend so much time with her. I feel it a privilege to have her here with us and for Koli to grow up having her Great Grandma just in the next room over. They are going to become best buds. Tomorrow we will start moving her things and I can hardly wait!!

In a box

Naps are the best!
And really who could argue with that?
Your tired, but your not ready to go to bed so you what?
Take a nap, you wake up and you're as good as new.
Well since Koli has been born we really love naps.
I have 90 pictures saved in my picture library of her sleeping,
that I just canNOT do without.
And maybe me and Nog are in there with her a time or two.
But ya well it is pretty much just 90 pictures
of the bean sleeping in different positions.
I had put together the best of the best pictures to print off
and to put around the house.
Since I hadn't printed any off yet since she has been born,
the total number of pictures it ended up coming down to was just below 300.
Nog said "Okay now that you have done that take it down to 50."
Me- "Ya right are you serious?
I already took out like hundreds and these are my favorite."
Nog- "What are we going to do with all these pictures?
Print them all then put them in a box?"
Me- "No I'll put a bunch in frames then ya the rest in a box
so our kids can look through them when they are older."
Nog-"They aren't going to want to see a billion of the same pictures
just in different poses"
Me- "I would!"
Nog- "Take it down to 50"...
So after some compromise Nog went through them with me
and we took the 300 down to 130.
Not bad!
I can't wait to print them off then stick the ones we don't frame, in a box.
~~~
These are my favorite sleeping ones that made the cut.
And we really aren't faking it
like some others I have in the 90 library stash.
Tis the season
November's just about over and my favorite month is only 3 days away!
I love love December and for so many reasons
but the main ones are because,
1) My birthday
2) Christmas of course!
which also means I get to see most my family.
3) Our Anniversary
4) Last Christmas I found out I was prego,
and now a year later I have in my arms the sweetest baby ever.
For a few weeks now we have had our Christmas decorations up in our house.
If you didn't already know we really
LoVe Christmas
and like to make it last as long as we can.
Tonight we finished putting up all the decorations
by adding the lights outside. yeeehaaa!
Here are pics...
Welcome to our home
Koli was sleeping while we were putting up decorations. We didn't want her to feel left out so we put garlin around her.
Here's Nog putting up the nails to hang the lights on.
Koli was watching him work
Koli loves her moby wrap
And we are DONE!!!
Big kid stuff
Having a girl is so much fun.
She's like my little doll I get to dress up
with...
braclets, earrings, little boots, headbands, leg warmers, all sorts of girly things.
And today to add to it all I painted her toes for the first time.
I thought I was doing so good clipping her nails while she was sleeping,
she barely moved.
So I thought I'll try painting her toe nails too.
Well,
3 toes in and she woke up
but I had to finish what I started
so I tried my best,
and after applying, then removing, then applying again
I finally did it.
She looks too big with her toes painted
but, they are pretty cute.
Have I mentioned I love having a girl?
Happy Thanksgiving
We are going to make it a tradition that every Thanksgiving we will do the Turkey Trot. We did it last year for my first time ever and this year we went to one in Janee's neighborhood. It was so much fun and we even got served pancakes afterwards with fresh oranges, which tasted like heaven. We woke up at 6am, got all ready and headed down there. We were going to do the fun run which was 1 mile but then decided we'd go for the 5k instead. We walked alot of it but I didn't care it was awesome. Kinsey kept with us the whole time she did amazing, and Koli slept through all of it. :)
I love her face here
I'm so thankful to be a mama to this beautiful girl.
aNd...
I'm thankful for this wonderful family I married into,
I sure love them.
aNd,
I love how every time I go see anyone anymore
they don't even say hi to me they just want to hold this little babe.
It's the best, and who can blame them, I would too!
New Favorite
Tamra showed me how to make some leg warmers and I'm in love!
I've already made 5 pairs.
Now I just need to finish the other 3 I have all preped.
I am loving sewing right now,
I'm so glad my mom taught me how when I was younger.
This is a picture of Koli, she fell asleep on my lap while I was sewing. :)
2 Month Koli
Right now Nog is at a plumbing job and I am home with the little bean trying to get her to bed. Which I'm pretty sure this is the last time I will need to get up to go sing her back to sleep.
She now recognizes my voice and face,
when I walk in the room she will follow me with her eyes.
It's my favorite.
She still doesn't smile too much
but in the mornings is when she is happiest,
when she wakes up she gives me the biggest grin
and will keep grinning for us for a good half hour.
I love this little girl she makes me so dang happy.
LOVE these beautiful eyes!
Nauvoo, Indiana, and Kollins first plane ride
Koli, Nog, and I just got back from our trip to Nauvoo and Indiana were Koli got to meet Grandma and Grandpa for the very FIRST time!
I couldn't wait to see where Mom and Dad had been this past 6 months
and see all that they have been up to.
~~~
After what felt like the longest wait ever the time came to get on that plane and head for Nauvoo, and it was Incredible and worth the wait.
The spirit that I felt here was so strong I was telling Nog if he ever wanted I would move here. :)
We got the privledge of going to the Nauvoo Temple to do sealings.
I was amazed at the beauty inside, I felt honored to be here.
Since Mom and Dad Pearce serve in the Temple we were able to get a tour of almost every room inside. We got chills going in each one.
And with permission we were even able to go to the very top to Moroni and touch the bolts that hold him up.
This was the first time Nog or I had left Koli with someone other than one of us.
Mom got to watch her while Dad gave us the tour and she did so great, thanks Mom, and thank you Dad for the wonderful tour.
I'm so thankful we were able to go to Nauvoo to see the history of Joseph Smith and of all the Saints, and of course to visit Mom and Dad! wow I have REALLY missed them both and I can't wait to get them back in just a few short weeks, you two are amazing!
Here are pictures of our trip from start to finish.
~~~
I was wondering and kind of worried how Koli would do on her very first plane ride but I had absolutely nothing to worry about, she slept the whole way there.
It was pretty crazy,
I was trying so hard to wake her up to eat so her ears could pop
that girl loves to travel, she was a little angel.
Here she is stretching
and back asleep
I couldn't believe all the colors here.
Beautiful
This is in the visiters center by the Joseph Smith statue
haha here is Dad he was super excited about his acorns.
Awesome Family History
I LOVE this picture! After about a million pictures because I just can't help myself she is too flippin cute, she gave me this look. Like "Mom Stop taking pictures of me" I love this girl!
Mom, Nog, Koli, and Dad in the Black Smiths Shop.
She's praying
Meet Ben and Rocky our favorite horses
You know in the Joseph Smith video they play in the Visiters Center were Emma and Joseph are under a bridge and it's snowing and they have there "first kiss?"
Ya well no big deal this is just that bridge.
Shoot I just realized we should have kissed under here too.Here we are leaving Nauvoo heading for Indiana. But first we had to make a stop at Carthage Jail.
I really loved being here.
Nog took this picture on the other side of the door through the bullet hole.
We made is safely to Indiana and the next day we went to park and went for a walk. This was our view as we walked can you believe places are this pretty?
I told Nog I would live here too haha
