SEWING!!!!

I have grown to LOVE sewing with all my heart. I find myself thinking of all the many clothes I have that I could fix to make them fit better and buying more fabric to make more. It definietly isn't cheaper to make your own clothes I have found but it is so much funner. My lovely mother made all my dreams come true when she bought me this mannequin form. I got it in the mail the day we were in Pima and came home to it! I was sooooooo excited. Really you have no idea I have been dreaming about this thing forever. (Ever since my Mom told me she was going to get it for me) Love you MOM! So it finally came and I couldn't help but open it up the second I walked in the door. Making my very first shirt (and many more clothes to come) that very night. It's so fun making it all up as I go and seeing what it looks like when it's done. I've been sewing and fixing everything in my closet. Making pants into shorts. Making Jeans into Skinny Jeans or Skinnier Jeans. Taking in shirts, all that good stuff. Pretty much raiding my closet and making up things I can fix, I just can't stop I've found something I LOVE to do and it's just so fun. Koli loves watching me and crawling all around me playing by my feet while I do. Grandma has named my mannequin "Big Red" ha I like it.

This is the shirt I made the night I got it

I have been wanting a white shirt like this for so long but couldn't find one the way I had pictured it in my mind. Simple with longer sleeves. Then, made these pants so not flared at the bottom.

I saw a friend wearing a shirt that had a different color material on the back than the front.
I thought "that's so cute, I can make that"...

Then right after I took these pictures I decided I wanted the shirt to be a tiny bit longer plus with a band around the bottom I can wear it for when I get pregnant again some day.
Then made koli and I headbands out of the material.

Trip to Pima

For so long now we have been wanting to take a trip with GG up to Pima to see her home town and were she grew up. So we finally did it, we took our day trip we left early in the morning, stayed all day and came home by 6pm. I'm glad we went!
We got to see my Great Aunt Betty Jo, see my Grandpas grave, my great great Grandma and Grandpa Norton, and Grandmas son Blaine's grave. Then stopped by the Gila Valley Temple and stopped for ice cream on the drive home.
These are all my favorite pictures we got so many good pictures.
I have the best Grandma ever.

Koli LOVES GG

Hey over there

haha that tongue!

Sarah Ann Weech Cluff's house (my Great Great Grandma on my Dads side)
The house GG's Dad built and that she lived in from age 5 to marriage.

When we stopped by to see GG's sister Koli found this hole in the wall and kept going back and forth forever. haha (notice that little tiny foot in the last picture.)

Bass Pro

The other day we decided to take Koli to see the Fish at Bass Pro Shop. We are always signing "fish" to her I'm not sure how she knows what we're talking about when we don't have a fish to show her but I think fish are our new favorite. That, and dog of course.
She loved it here she wanted to touch everything. Shes starting to look to me for approval on things. When we saw the fish she looks at me to see what my reaction is and then when I say "Wow, fishy." she gets really excited and pants like a puppy. Ha I love her!

Obsession

Tonight I realized I may have a problem. My ears have been infected for a week maybe two now. And every morning I have a battle with myself. "I really want to wear these earrings to match this outfit but if I do it will hurt really bad putting them in and I know my ears will never get better." But still, every morning I put them in because I can't help it. I just don't feel like I got ready if I don't have my earrings in. Each day I put them in and it hurts more and more but hey pain in beauty so I do and I won't lie I like picking the crust out when i take them out each night ha eww that's gross but it's fun for me. Anyways now my ears are bleeding and hurt a lot but I already know tomorrow when I wake up in the morning I'm going to put them right back in. Somebody! Help! Come take all my earring away from because I just can't help myself!

Happy Fathers Day Nog!

Today is Nogals very first with plenty more to come, Fathers Day. So we had to do something special. Nog is not one for store bought gifts. I have found, that is not the way to his heart. The way to his heart is homemade, thoughtful, gifts that take time to make. Which really, that is always the best way to go I just have a hard time thinking of good ideas like that. But this Fathers Day I knew just what I would do. First make a homemade "Happy Father's Day" sign. Very time consuming but he will have it for every Fathers Day here on out and I loved spending all that time on him. And second a homemade shirt just from Koli. He wore it all day today, made us feel good. It was so crazy trying to get this girls hand prints and foot prints but somehow we did it. But that required a good long bath afterwards, in the sink so I could watch her while I finished the shirt. :)
Of course our traditions to any special day is to have a special breakfast and this sign made it look way better.
 He liked it
Ya, we play on the tile.
Then after church we headed over to spend the night with more Fathers. :)
Koli got to see Macyn. These little runts are so cute together.

 Other highlights in my life...
I love watching this girl sleep in all of her positions.
 Just a little lady.
I got a letter from Jay this past week, all the way from Brazil. He sent me this bracelet! How cute is he? He also sent me his Elder Turley Badge! I feel so privileged to be given this! I love him and will cherish this forever!!!
